• How do I set up prayer notifications?

  Open the Deeny app and navigate to Settings. From there you can enable prayer notifications and customize the timing for each prayer — choose to be notified at the exact prayer time or set reminders before each prayer.
• Is there a Qibla compass?

  A Qibla compass is on the way — it's coming to Deeny soon. In the meantime, set your direction with a compass you trust, and Deeny handles your prayer times, reminders, and tracking.
• Can I track my prayer history?

  Yes. Deeny keeps a complete history of your prayers. You can view your streak, see which prayers you've completed, and track your consistency over time in the Tracker section of the app.
• Is my data private?

  Yes. Deeny has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics, and we never sell your data. Your prayer log and streaks stay on your device — the only thing that leaves is your location, sent to a prayer-times service to calculate your daily schedule.
• How do I change the prayer calculation method?

  Go to Settings and select “Prayer Times.” There you can choose from various calculation methods including Muslim World League, Islamic Society of North America, Egyptian General Authority, and others based on your location and preference.
• Can I use Deeny offline?

  Yes. Once you've opened the app and your prayer times are calculated, Deeny works offline — you don't need a connection to track prayers, get your reminders, or access your history.
• Prayer times seem incorrect — how do I fix it?

  Ensure your location services are enabled and you've selected the correct calculation method for your region. You can also manually adjust prayer times in Settings if needed.
• How does locking apps during prayer work?

  With Deeny Pro's Protected Prayer, you choose which apps to lock. From each adhan, those apps stay shielded by Screen Time until you confirm — by a short oath — that you've prayed and log it. The Qur'an stays open the whole time.
• Notifications aren't appearing — how do I enable them?

  Check that notifications are enabled for Deeny in your device's Settings app, and make sure Do Not Disturb (or a Focus mode) isn't blocking them.

   Download & install

   Get Deeny from the App Store (Android is coming soon). It's free to start and requires no account.

   Allow location access

   When prompted, allow location access so Deeny can calculate accurate prayer times for where you are.

   Choose your calculation method

   Select the method that matches your local mosque or personal preference.

   Start tracking

   Mark each prayer as you pray it, and watch your day fill in — gently counted, never a streak to lose.
