Deeny is a free Islamic prayer application that provides:

Qibla Direction: A compass pointing toward the Kaaba (coming soon).
Prayer Tracking: Personal prayer habit tracking stored locally on your device.
Islamic Calendar: Hijri date display and Islamic events.
Mindful Reminders: Gentle notifications for prayer times.

Your Rights and Responsibilities

Your Rights:

Use the core app free of charge
Privacy by design — no ads, no accounts, and we never sell your data
No ads or interruptions during your worship
Start using the app without creating an account

Your Responsibilities:

Use the app in accordance with Islamic principles
Do not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
Do not use the app for any unlawful purposes
Respect the intellectual property rights of the app

Privacy and Data

We are committed to protecting your privacy:

Private by Design: No ads, no accounts, and we never sell your data.
Local Storage: Your prayer log and settings stay on your device; only your location is sent out, to fetch prayer times.
No Account Required: Start using the app immediately.
No Tracking: No analytics, cookies, or tracking technologies.

Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy in prayer times and Qibla direction:

Prayer times are calculated using established astronomical methods
Qibla direction, once available, will depend on your device's compass and location accuracy
We recommend verifying with local Islamic authorities for important religious observances
The app is a tool to assist your worship, not replace religious guidance

Intellectual Property

The Deeny app and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws:

The app design, code, and content are owned by Deeny
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the app

Deeny is free to start:

Core prayer times, reminders, and tracking are free
Deeny Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks advanced features, such as Protected Prayer (locking distracting apps until you've prayed) and Concentration
No advertisements or sponsored content, ever
No hidden costs — you choose if and when to upgrade

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
Your use of the app is at your own risk

Updates and Changes

We may update the app and these Terms:

App updates may be provided through app stores
Terms changes will be posted with an updated date
Continued use indicates acceptance of changes
Major changes will maintain our core privacy commitments

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated:

You may stop using the app at any time
Simply delete the app from your device
No account deletion needed (since no accounts exist)
All locally stored data will be removed with the app
